Trying to make money online. Any tips or tricks?

about blogging
Yes. Here is my best advice:

Find the value in yourself and Create value for others.

Duplicate it on a grand scale.

Build a list of people that you like and that like you and teach and assist them in anyway possible.

Become a credible expert in your field and create a body of your own material to draw upon.

Trying to please everyone will keep you stuck. Be the vision in your own life.

Learn how to leverage your unique talents and the talents of others.

When you think you've got it figured out, be ready to change your game plan.

Learn, adapt, and grow from your 'mistakes'.

Make friends and business contacts and actually be their friend. Support and help each other.

Have a bigger vision and purpose for yourself and your life than just "making money."

Don't do things to people that you wouldn't want done to yourself. Karma is a bitch.

NEVER give up on yourself.... even if it feels like everyone else has.

Change your mindset and thinking from one of poverty to one of wealth, and realize that a mindset of wealth has very little to do with how much money or stuff that you have.

how many holes do I need to fall through to make money online?

Well, the struggle is part of the process and thats the only way you learn. Also, it requires a complete shift in mindset. Here's the secret: find what you're passionate about, become an expert on the subject, provide quality information, gain influence, build your list, recommend quality products, make sales, invest in your OWN products, gain more credibility and influence, make more sales, and so on and so on. Unfortunately the only way to get rich overnight is to win the lotto-- making money online requires dedication, passion, commitment, and the right MINDSET. Best of luck to you!

Where do you suggest a newbie to Twitter begin? I want to approach this tool with insight and a plan. I feel like I know what makes a valuable & magnetic tweet, but that's about it. Although I'm an affiliate marketer & web developer, the I'm a little daunted by the learning curve of Twitter. I've read many stories of people succeeding and failing in their Twitter goals, and I want to get myself right into the former camp :)

Here's my best Twitter advice:

First of all, if you don't know what to say then begin by "listening" and watching what others say. Start by following those that you respect and acknowledge them when they've shared something that you found interesting, useful, or thought provoking. You do this by 'mentioning' them by typing "@USERNAME" (insert their twitter name of course) and telling them how you felt about it. You can also share your feelings privatelyin a direct message if you prefer. If you find their tweet worthy of sharing with others, you can "Re-Tweet" it (push the Re-tweet button or type RT @(USERNAME) + the message. People usually enjoy being mentioned in this manner and you will have a great conversation starter and hopefully are beginning to strenghten a long-term relationship based on quality info and trust. You will also want to be building a targeted Twitter following. Whatever industry you are in, find the leaders of it and follow them, as well as scoping their followers for people that are interesting and you want to work with! Figure out your follower limit (imposed by Twitter) and add as many targeted followers as you are allowed (leaving some spaces from those that want to follow you.

Now that you're interacting with other twitterers and growing your network, start looking out for websites, quotes, or products and services targeted to your industry that you can share. If you aren't getting the results you want, try asking questions and engaging with your followers.

You're should check your followers daily and follow them back… especially ones who have larger followings and influence. Then periodically use a free service like ManageTwitter.com to purge your list of inactive members (inactive over 30 days is my criteria) or those less influential than haven't followed you back (or unfollowed you). You should check out their websites to gage their influence and make the best choice for yourself.

From there, simply remain in good communication, make some friends, re-tweet and be re-tweeted, and IF you prove yourself to be a source of quality, actionable information you will find that you get retweeted and mentioned on a regular basis. Once you have a quality network growing, begin to grow into an expert in your selected industry.Professionalize your page with a branded or visually stunning background and answer the questions of others-- your best real answers, researched if necessary, not BS pulled out of nowhere.Brand yourself as expert and concern yourself with learning all that you can until it's second nature.

At this point you will be approaching:"connected influencer" status… calculate your current score at Klout.com and that site will specify the necessary actions required for you to to continue briniging ur influence. Then simply watch your inbox fill up with paid offers to Tweet. Remember to regiister with a program that pays tweeters to adveri, as detailed on my Internet MarketingBlog at http://ViralBliss.com !! Hope that this advice gets you off on the right foot and onto a blazing start! Contact me anytime if you have questions Best of lucvk,

Hey John, I see you are using a wonderful background here, what's the secret? Egypt?

Yes, it is an image that is so striking and familiar, and deeply deeply rooted in mystic symbolism. I even have the eyes of Horus tattooed on my wrists (see photo) as they are so metaphysically significant and very meaningful to me. Here is a brief synopsis that starts to scratch the surface as to why:

The God pictured in the artwork is Horus, the Sun God, his head the form of an Hawk and the body resembling that of a human. His eyes represent the eyes of God: one the Sun, the other the Moon, and his Mythology explained the Sunrise and Sunset (representing his murder at the hands of his Uncle Set and resurrection by his Mother, Isis).

The eye is also known as the All Seeing Eye of God, and is even featured prominently on American currency radiating from a Pyramid. Each segment of the eye is representative of each of the five senses.

There is much rich secret, and hidden meaning and symbolism surrounding him, his famous eye even appearing on the back of Amercian Currency, peering knowingly through the Apex of a radiating Pyramid.

The time period beginning at 1900 is also known by occultists as the Age of Horus. Says one noted Scholar of the Occult, Nicolas Kushner: "As Horus as ruler is but a child, the beginning of his reign (ie - the early Twentieth Century) is categorized as firstly chaotic, giving birth to new ways of thinking and it was this "childlike" idealism which gave birth to such radical early movements of this era such as fascism, communism, and crazes of all sorts which obsesses mankind. The principle of this being that throughout his age we will witness the child maturing and thus the stability of the world solidifying into more harmonious new ways of thought."

The analogy is so rich, and interestingly 100 years after it was foretold has proven chillingly accurate. We are in the midst of an transforming into the age of "enlightenment" that grows stronger every year at a pace never seen before. We look back on the 'the sins of our fathers' in horror as we begin to see the truth and develop a greater capacity for compassion. Yet we are still in the midst of this great struggle between right and wrong, judgment and forgiveness, torture and mercy, war and piece. Will the harmony and enlightenment win out over the ignorance and cruelty?

Watch as the this unfolds around us, every day, as the story plays out in modern times around us, some eager for the arrival of Armageddon and the others trying desperately to stop it in time… I wear the Eyes of Horus as a reminder to myself to keep my eyes open and see the ILLUMINATION of the Sun expose the reality of the darkness of the past.

Thats not really how Twitter works. For instant gratification try a chat room. Twitter works for short updates that may or may not be immediately seen or addressed. For more interaction on twitter, inquire to specific people via mentions (use @ followed by their twitter name) or direct messages.
